PRATICE 7: HUMAN SENSES
1. TEMPERATURE
We put each hand on a different bucket, one with cold water and the other one with hot water. After 1 minute replaced both hands in a bucket of lukewarm water and in the hand that had been in the cold water, now the water felt warm and viceversa.
2. HEARING
One of us was blindfolded and while the other one was somewhere near with a ticking object, the other one had to point where she thought the source of the sound was.
3. BALANCE
One of us stood on both feet without moving and eyes closed. Then, we walked on a straight line.
4. PROPIORECEPTION
A)Find your fingertips: We closed our eyes and put both hands over our heads. With our right hand we had to put our index fingertips on our nose and do the same with the rest of the fingers.
B) X marks the spot: We put an X on a paper and with our eyes closed we had to try to put a dot near to the X.
C) Handwriting analysis: We wrote the word propioreception on a paper and put the pencil on the same line. Then, we closed our eyes and wrote propioreception again.
5.VISION
A)Rods and cones: I didn´t have time to do this one.
B) The blind spot:
Experiment 1: We hold our left hand over our left eye staring at the X with our right eye and get near the paper.
Experiment 2: We repeated experiment 1 with a different drawing.
6.EFFECT OF SMELL ON TASTE
One of us was blindfolded and with the nose pinched and we had to try some juices and know what flavor was each one.
